This spring, we collaborated with a local GATE teacher whose students had taken an interest in sea otters. The 5th graders developed a project in which they taught younger students about sea otters. The result was some pretty awesome sea otter art which the students donated to The Otter Project to use in our campaign to end the no-otter zone.

Compiling the art is an on-going project, but I thought I’d share a few of the highlights here. The prompt seems to have been “Sea otters are special to me because…” and we got all sorts of reasons why sea otters are special!
